Hey Everyone,
I hope you all had a great week. We have 9 days left for our campaign and have been working hard making sure that VanJohan underwear will be everything you envisioned it to be. We are hoping to have one final push to make this project even more successful. Please share our campaign with everyone you know or with anyone you think could use some new awesome underwear, we are sure they won’t be disappointed. We are looking forward to growing and what we can achieve with VanJohan in the coming year. We plan on diversifying into more styles and adding many more color patterns for you. This way you will always have a go to pair of VanJohans for every occasion! You see, we don’t just want to make underwear, we want the VanJohan brand to become a part of your lifestyle, whether that’s in the office, gym or rocking out to your favorite jam! To entertain you further while you wait for your very first pair, we thought we would give you some more fun underwear facts!
I bet you didn’t know this about underwear!
- A 2008 survey revealed that 9% of men in America have underwear that is at least 10 years old and 15% percent own underwear that is between 5-9 years old…. please don’t be that guy!
- Men’s briefs were invented in 1935. A contemporary magazine ad touted the brief’s “scientific suspension” and “restful buoyancy.” ... well we all know VanJohans give you that scientific suspension!
- Long knitted undergarments known as “long johns” were originally worn by a bare-knuckled boxer named John L. Sullivan in the late 1800s. He wore long woolen drawers while boxing in cold weather…. Give this man the package booster!
The Process!
As our campaign draws to a close we will start updating people more on the manufacturing process and send out a survey so that you can choose your size and colour! In the mean-time sit tight and help us spread the word on VanJohan luxury underwear!

We have had a few people reach out asking how we started our business and what inspired us. I recalled something I read by Mark Zuckerbury that fit this perfectly and thought I would share it with you. Someone once asked him "How many hours do you work in a day" This was his answer:
"That depends on what you count as work. I spend most of my time thinking about how to be a better and better person. I take a lot of time just to read and think about things by myself. If you count the time I'm in the office, it's probably more than 50-60 hours a week. But if you count all the time I'm focused on our mission, that's basically my whole life. "
Now If you have something you are passionate about, go out and do it! Make moves and make it happen, it could be the best decision you ever made! I made the leap to start VanJohan Underwear and I definitely do not regret it!

It's been a while since I've posted some cool facts or stories about undies, so here you go!
1) The average woman owns approximately 21 peers of underwear and approximately 10% of women's over 35 pairs .......men make sure to stock up, please!!
2) Apparently, the word "wedgie" is derived from "wedge-heeled shoe" and became popular in the 1970s from the effect it gave the victim ...... Yikes!
3) King Tut is the nickname for Tutankhamen, an Egyptian leader who ruled from age 9 to 18. He was buried with 145 underpants!

Happy Friday Everyone!
We wanted to give you a quick update before we get into the weekend. We are still working on a few of the product shots requested and will have them finished this weekend! For those who are curious, these are shots of the underwear under different pairs of pants. We will be focusing on dress pants, jeans, shorts and any other pairs we can think of so that you can get a better idea as to how they look.
Since we only have 30 days left in our campaign, we would love to hit our stretch goals so that we can offer you many more fun add-ons. We would be extremely grateful if you could help us share this campaign if you have not done so. In fact, you can even earn some extra cash doing so by spreading our campaign.

Hey VanJohan Backers,
We just wanted to give a huge shout-out to all of you since we have almost reached 300 pledges! Again, we cannot stress how appreciative we are for the support!
An important company value of ours has always been transparency and we believe keeping our backers informed is very important. We just got off the phone with our manufacturer and have been informed that everything is on track and running smoothly! We are in contact with them every couple days making sure all your feedback gets incorporated as much as possible, so thank you to all of you who have been messaging us with your questions and suggestions!
With that said, we wanted to open up the conversation with all of you, answer any questions you may have, and ask what you would like to see for our future stretch goals?
